One of the great things about Norbury is that so many people disagree on where the area covers.
There is a sense of fluidity between Norbury and the surrounding areas, including Mitcham, Thornton Heath and Streatham Common. This may hamper the sense of community spirit in the area but it means you can access so many great parts of South London with ease, which is probably far better in the long run.
In fact, while Norbury is officially part of the London Borough of Croydon, it appears that the area actually straddles three different boroughs. Parts of Norbury can be found in Merton and Lambeth, so if you are looking for an area with a touch of variety, Norbury has a lot to offer in its compact yet delightful shape!
There’s a good mix of property types on offer in Norbury with Edwardian and Victorian houses in the area and many examples of the sort of post-railway development property that you can find across London. If you’re looking for a cheaper and livelier option in Norbury, London Road is where you should start your property search (or come and see us, we’ll help you start your property search with a sense of purpose).
Relax and enjoy the day in Norbury
A pleasant addition to the shops on offer in Norbury is the Costa Coffee, which can be found at 1411-1413 London Road. As you’d expect from a leading brand in the coffee industry, you know exactly what to expect and the Costa has become a good place to meet when you are out and about, looking to relax for a while.
